Amanda and Dru’s Wall Art collection

Multi-piece canvas wall art collection

Multi-piece canvas wall art collection

I wanted to show you the beautiful artwork that Amanda and Dru selected with our help for their home. The photo above represents our “Sydney” collection. It’s a 5 piece canvas collection which is perfect to make a profound statement in your home of your love for each other.

What you are seeing is a room mock up that will allow you to see what the piece would look like hanging in your home. We have an awesome system here in the studio that allows us to implant a mock up of your artwork on to a photo of your actual home’s space , at it’s actual size so that you can compare what would be the perfect piece of artwork for that space.

This next photo below, shows you another one of our very popular pieces of wall art , which is our “Rio” collection. It features 5 different photographs that all work together into one design. It can be designed vertically or horizontally and can be printed on either Metal or Acrylic.

Call us today to talk about the artwork that we can design for your home, from your photo shoot experience! 570-690-2019

The love of the Beadle Family shines through in this Family Session.

brittney beadle

I thought this would be a great time to post this story to wrap up the end of the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.

I had the pleasure of meeting Brittney and some of her family when she was getting ready for her upcoming benefit at the Johnny Vegas Lounge in Taylor PA. This happened to be where I play a fun free poker event twice a week (play chips, it has since moved to a new location). You could tell even when first meeting Brittney that she was ready to take on her fight against stage four breast cancer. What determination and strength she has at the young age of 18 to take on such a battle and kick it’s butt!

Brittney was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer at the age of 18. Originally a missed diagnosis led to her cancer spreading. You can read more about her story in a few of these articles from The Times Tribune and Happenings Magazine which will do a better job of getting all of the details right then I could probably do here.

So we had an opportunity to donate to Brittney as well as donate a $400 gift certificate for her raffle drawing she was having at her event. Through a few phone conversations I learned that Brittney had asked if she could use that gift certificate for her own family as she wanted to be able to capture the love she has for her whole family. What an amazing thing! So I said no…. instead we will give you an additional larger one just for your family. And that is what we did.

We decided on going to McDade Park in Scranton. I found this beautiful yellow fall tree to be the background for our photos. Brittney invited her mom, brother, grandparents, and many other members of their family, which made for some amazing photos for their photo album that we made for them and additional wall art prints.

I am happy to say that Brittney is doing great with her treatments, and it was an absolute pleasure for me to get to photograph her family and hear her story. We wish her nothing but the best in the future, and hope that we can photograph their family for years to come.

Brittney wanted to pose with the Pink gloves that you see above as a way to show that she is beating cancer every day! And she is doing just that. She is in remission! Of course there is still a lot of on going treatment and testing to be done to maintain that progress. If you would like to help the Beadle family, they still have an active GoFundMe account that you can help contribute to HERE

Enjoy these photos and make sure to give us a call at 570-690-2019 to book your family session! (yes this can be done in the winter as well)

Tamar & Michael Forest Lake Club – Hawley PA- A Beautiful Pocono Wedding

Forest Lake club Wedding

You recently saw Tamar & Michael’s Engagement photos on the blog which we photographed for them the day before their wedding. Now we are back to show you their amazing wedding photos. Check out that dress! Tamar has the dress made and it was truly unique. I absolutely loved it. It had a separate cap (sorry I don’t have the proper words to describe it) that went around the bottom, almost like a detachable train. You can see more of her dress below.

Getting ready time was amazing with tons of natural light pouring into the room where the ladies were getting ready. A photographer’s dream! The guys got ready in one of the spacious cabins on property, which also lead to some fun woodsy portraits.

The ceremony took place at the Forest Lake Club, across from the main building. Great Pocono greenage was our backdrop. We then set off for photos around the amazing scenery of the Lake Club.

The reception took us under tent for the rest of the night where we saw one of my favorite reception items of the whole year.  A PIE CUTTING!! How great is that?

Enjoy some of the highlights below. As always, give us a call at 570-690-2019 to talk about your wedding an the moments that I can capture for the two of you. Ask about some 2015 and 2016 current specials we have running.

Long Beach NY Wedding at the Allegra Hotel – Ashleigh and Scott

Allegra hotel wedding

The amazing wedding of Ashleigh and Scott from the Allegra Hotel in Long Beach, NY. What more can I say, wowsers!

Ashleigh had been a bride’s maid in a previous wedding that I had photographed with Nadia and Chris several years ago. It’s always great to be able to photograph someone we have already worked with, now for their wedding. It’s such a different dynamic to seeing them having been a wedding party member and now the bride! Of course it’s equally great to see Nadia again as she was part of the wedding party for Ashleigh.

This was my first trip to a NY beach and it was definitely neat. It has a completely different feel to it then even the New Jersey beaches.

We start with some stunning photos of Ashleigh’s gorgeous  wedding gown, designed by Marchesa. Some of my favorite wedding shoe photos of the year came with her Jimmy Cho0 shoes. Definitely check those out ladies.

Then we get to the absolutely amazing rooftop ceremony location at the Allegra Hotel. Breathtaking. We were blessed that day with blue skies and great weather. Their ceremony took place right past the pool which also gave another neat eliminate to the ceremony decor.

We had some great emotions from the bride and parents coming down the isle, which I of course absolutely love! We photographed all of their portraits on the boardwalk and throughout parts of the very stylish hotel.

The ballroom at the Allegra was decorated with various changing uplighting and decor which are featured in some of the photos below.

Check out a sampling of some of the photographs from their wedding. Don’t forget to give us a call about your 2015 or 2016 wedding or engagement sessions!! Call at: 570-690-2019

The importance of Prints. Why this image is so powerful.

D75_7014edc

I posed this question on my Facebook Business Pages: Why do I love this image so much? Why is it so important?

There were some great guesses and a few got very close to the answer. One person said “Is it that someday their grandkids will be looking at their wedding picture?” That is pretty close to the answer and she will be winning the $10 itunes card I mentioned in the post (see it pays to check out our facebook page and participate!)

The importance of prints as your final ‘product’ and not a digital copy, disc, thumb drive, facebook album, etc can not be understated. Those things might be a great item to have and to purchase in addition to your prints and album, but should never come at the cost of a replacement for those items. In the above photo example, imagine if in the 1930-50′s everyone was only receiving their images in digital copy. With the best intentions, those images often do not ever make it to print. What if they were recorded on a format that is unreadable today such as VHS, Beta Max, reel to reel, tape, or soon dare I even say DVDs. Did you know that DVDs can fail in as little as 1 year? How likely would it be that now 0ver 60 years later, the great grandson of the person in that photo would be able to see their wedding photo on his Aunts big day?

We are living in an era right now that is coming dangerously close to becoming the forgotten generation. With Iphones, facebook, other cell phones, digital cameras, instagram, snapchat, and the list continues, how often are you taking the time to finish the images as intended by printing them? When these technologies change into digital implants, or whatever else is yet to come, where will the record be of this time in our history?

Can you walk into your house at the end of a long day at work or with dealing with the children, sit on your couch in your living room, and gaze up to catch a shining glimpse of that beautiful DVD hanging on your wall? Does that have the same impact in improving the quality of your day as looking at a beautiful Canvas wall art collection of special moments of your husband that we captured during your wedding day. How much would that take you back to that moment when you were just starting out as a couple and that amazing feeling you had sharing those moments together?

D75_6182c

Throughout the day, I witnessed these amazing moments with both the bride and groom as different family members delivered old printed pictures of themselves from back on the their wedding days. I got to hear the story from the bride about how she never got to meet them, but by looking at the images how amazing it was of how they looked just like her husband and other people in the family. What an awesome moment that I got to see happen in front of me and was lucky enough to document for this couple. I LOVE THAT!

I love seeing the power and emotion that a printed image can bring. There is really nothing like it.

At weddings I often see these moments displayed at the gift table. Some times it’s prints in a frame like above, and some times it’s the relatives actual wedding album. What an amazing investment in something that you are going to have for generations.

Don’t let that be replaced in your life by a digital image that will be unviewable as soon as technology changes again, or the drive fails or is lost. A print or album will never be something you can’t open and view. As I like to joke, even on the Walking Dead, when the zombie apocalypse starts and there is no longer electricity, you can still pull that print out of your wallet of your family and look at it!

Everyone has great intentions that they will go and print this or that, or they will make their own style DIY album. But time passes, life gets busy, and it often gets forgotten. The more people I ask about this the story stays the same. How many images are on your phone right now? How many of them have you actually ever printed? How would you feel if your phone got lost or deleted and you lost those moments of your kids forever?

Are you starting to see how powerful and important these items are? Not just for today, but forever.

D75_7308c

So what is most important to you? Don’t listen and get to stuck on what the “wedding magazines” list you “must have” for your wedding. What is actually important to you. What will be important to you 40-80 years from now?

Beautiful, personally design wedding albums and stunning finished works of art like our Canvas Wall Collections, Acrylic prints, and Metal HD prints, are just a few of the things we offer. We don’t just offer these products, we believe strongly in them and their importance. Your files will always be kept safe here in our hard drive system which lives in a minimum of 3 different locations. You can also purchase them as an addition to your wedding album and prints. But, photographs are meant to be printed. So don’t forget that when you are interviewing for your upcoming wedding photographer.

Stay tuned to see more from this awesome New Years Eve wedding of Lacie and Jonathan from the Radisson at Lackawanna Station in Scranton, PA.
