Throwback Thursday: Fashion shoot at Bar Louie

IMG_3634ed3c

Today I thought I would do something fun, and maybe an on going post each week, to look back at some older photos that I did in a “throw back” type of post. These photos were done at Bar Louie at the Mohegan Sun in Wilkes Barre to celebrate the winners of the Man and Woman Model of the Year with the Weekender. These were photographed in 2009. How on earth was that 6 years ago! Phil, Christina, and Ashley are featured in these sets wearing amazing outfits that we had on loan for the day.  Check them out and tell me what you think in the comments!

Here are a few more images from my fashion portrait series I did with this beautiful model while testing the Phase One IQ140 Medium Format Digital Camera. You will see that I started out the shoot out in the snow near sunset to test some of the cameras dynamic range ability. Then we moved inside to work with some studio setups.

The outfit that you see outside was actually made by a local designer from the Stillwater PA area, Nicole Dumond. A big thanks to her for letting us borrow that as well as some more outfits that you will see in upcoming posts.

Enjoy and feel free to leave comments.

DAY 27 – FEATURE IMAGE: Taken in a Parking Lot

Fashion wedding photo in Dickson City, PA

All of my work has a flair for creating things out of nothing. I like to go to ordinary places and change them into something fantastic. This is another example of that idea. I do get a lot of people that like my sky shots and this spot always has great views.

This is taken in a random parking lot over looking Dickston City and Scranton near the shopping centers in Dickson City. Yes, I am a being a little secretive as to where as I love shooting in that area so much.

The neat thing about this photo is that the area no longer exists. There is now a store where these rocks once stood. It’s sad that it is gone, however it also the photo and the experience a lot more fun. There is something very cool about knowing no one else can take this type of photo in this area again.

If you are interested in having one of a kind images for your wedding photography, please contact us to scheduling a meeting or to book your wedding! Spots still available for 2013 and 2014.
