MODEL SEARCH – Dancers Wanted for video project

jaime ballet dancer agt

Jaime in Dumbo Park NYC , who participated in AGT 2013

I am currently in search for someone that is trained in Ballet as well as a bit of modern dance (if you do both that is perfect). Someone that can be in the Scranton/Clarks Summit area is ideal, but other areas are possible as well, including Philadelphia and New York City. First preference will be to those that are over the age of 18, but will consider 16 or older with parental consent.

I am working on a video project and I would like to find 1-3 gals and/or guys that would like to participate in a fun collaborative project.

If you are interested, please send me a message so that we can talk further. Please let me know your dance experience and the different styles in which you are trained. I can talk more about the general idea of the project  at that time.

PLEASE: also feel free to send this out to people that you know that are dancers. I would love to start this project  before it starts getting too cold.

It’s going to be a really fun project, so if you love to dance, then this is perfect for you!!

To contact me for this project, please go to: http://www.jeffdietzphotography.com/dance-search-contact.html

Thanks!

Hi Everyone
Yesterday I posted a quick video about how I was heading out to do a fun test shoot with a new girl and trying out some shots with a new makeup artist as well (new to me). It was definitely a lot of fun!
The rain held off which was a great thing as we know electronic equipment doesn’t find the rain as much fun as I do. We started out on the top of a parking deck with Scranton in the background. After a bunch of shooting up there (and only one beauty dish biting the dust due to the wind, despite two sand bags), I ventured with her down into the streets of Scranton as well for a little bit more playing around.

I believe in doing these fun test shoots once in a while just as a way of continually educating myself, pushing my limits, and most importantly keeping the creative juices flowing. It is so important. And especially when you photograph as I do, striving for all one of a kind images. That is why so many wedding and portrait photographers today have been stuck in a rut taking the same 10 photos that they have taken for the past 30 years at a wedding.

The couples that book me for their weddings, want something completely different, new, fresh, and creative. Which is why I am constantly working to improve and come up with new ideas!

Enjoy a few images from the session as I am currently still editing a bunch of others.

Hello everyone!

I am a excited to have the first of the video blog posts go live for you! It first hit my facebook page a few days ago, but now I would like to share it with everything. The first video is filled with a large glimpse to what is coming up soon!  (which has increased even since making the video).

I hope that you enjoy this type of thing as I will be doing a lot more of this as well as video out on location in the coming months and over this season. I want to try to show you a lot more of the behind the scenes action and have a much higher personal connection instead of just posting a bunch of words!

Enjoy! And of course don’t forget to call to book your date for your 2012 and 2013 weddings!

Hello everyone!

I am happy to report that I will once again be at the Ritz Building for Scranton’s First Friday event, conducting my Artist’s Portrait Project with select members of the crowd. That is this Friday March 2 starting at 5pm at the Ritz Building at 222 Wyoming Ave in Scranton.

I am also very happy to report that for the first time a selection of some of my Wedding and Portrait art will be on display in the hall of the Ritz Building. These are not from the artists portrait project (those are coming later), but a highlight of some fun images from the past couple of years.

I highly encourage you to stop by and see if your image is hanging! You can also ask about a special opportunity to buy those prints if you are featured in them.

Also if you are a very interesting looking person (how do we define that really?) make sure to hang out around the Ritz building to see if you will be selected to be photographed for the artists session! (little hint: I love photographing grandparents!)

If you want to get more information about First Friday Scranton and all of the cool events and artists walks that they do, you can go to their website at: www.firstfridayscranton.com

I hope to see you all there!!

Posts coming soon: 2011 Wedding Highlights, updates to the Backstage pass site, blog and website redesign updates.
